Maryland Local Marketing
Maryland Local Marketing is the agency side of the same company behind Maryland Local Businesses — full-service marketing for local companies across Maryland, from marinas and restaurants to home services and retail. I joined as an account manager in 2024 and now lead marketing here as Marketing Director, across Maryland Local Businesses, Maryland Local Marketing, and our sister company USB Payment Processing.

From account manager to director
I came in running accounts day to day, and moved into the Marketing Director seat within the year. Today I set the strategy, standards, and systems for every account the agency touches — and the team that delivers them.
Maryland Local Businesses and Maryland Local Marketing are two brands of one company: the directory and membership platform on one side, the full-service agency on the other. Running both means the same playbook, the same CRM, and the same automation stack serve a business whether it starts with a $1 listing or a full retainer.
Owning the portfolio
Before stepping into the director role, I managed an 18+ client portfolio, running full omnichannel campaigns across social media, email, Google, Meta, and programmatic advertising — handling strategy, audience targeting, budget allocation, creative development, optimization, and reporting for each account.
I also drove new business directly through outbound cold calls and in-person meetings, growing the client base by 45%.
Results through better content
Campaigns were built on data and carried by multimedia content — reels, blogs, visuals, and video. That combination delivered a 45% boost in conversions and a 70% increase in engagement across the portfolio.
I later rebuilt the Maryland Local Marketing website itself, using Claude Code and other modern tools to ship a faster, clearer site.
One playbook, many industries
The portfolio spanned auto services, healthcare, home services, restaurants and bars, childcare and education, personal care, and real estate. Each needed a different voice, but the same underlying system: a clear offer, targeted paid social, a steady content cadence, email, and a conversion path that could be measured.
Scope varied by account — social media management, video production, photography, graphic design for print and digital, email campaign design and deployment, event marketing, creative writing, and website design, build and maintenance.
